Gabe Oppen­heim has pre­vi­ous­ly authored The Ghost Per­fumer, an inside look at the work­ings of the fra­grance indus­try (and a small expose of one par­tic­u­lar char­la­tan of that busi­ness), as well as Box­ing in Philadel­phia, an account of fight­ers, past and present, of that grit­ty city. He is also the cre­ator of DCU: Deep Crime Unit, a tele­vi­sion dra­ma that aired on Tokyo Broad­cast­ing Sys­tem in Japan in 2021. He lives on the Upper West Side of Man­hat­tan with his part­ner (along­side sev­er­al des­ic­cat­ing radiators).
