Don­ald Granat­stein is a retired lawyer, cur­rent­ly a medi­a­tor and arbi­tra­tor. Dri­ven by his urge to uncov­er the mys­tery of a lost aunt, and his fas­ci­na­tion with Jew­ish his­to­ry, and the Holo­caust he has writ­ten a sto­ry about Jew­ish immi­gra­tion and cul­ture, men­tal ill­ness and the endur­ing resilience of fam­i­ly.
