Eileen Pollack grew up in Liberty, NY. She earned a BS in physics from Yale and an MFA in fiction from the University of Iowa. She is the award-winning author of nine books of fiction and nonfiction, including Breaking and Entering (Four Way Books 2012) and In The Mouth (Four Way Books 2008), and the recipient of various fellowships. Her stories and essays have appeared in the Best American series and elsewhere. She lives in Manhattan and Ann Arbor, where she teaches on the faculty of the Helen Zell MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Michigan.
