Jer­rold H. Wein­berg, MD, FACOG, has been a prac­tic­ing obste­tri­cian and gyne­col­o­gist for five decades, with a sub­spe­cial­ty of menopausal med­i­cine since 1999. He earned hon­ors among his peers, with Sinai Hos­pi­tal nam­ing him attend­ing physi­cian of the year sev­er­al times. He was the direc­tor of the Birm­ing­ham Menopause Insti­tute. For six years, Dr. Wein­berg authored a month­ly opin­ion col­umn in the Ob/​Gyn News and, more recent­ly, penned an arti­cle for The Wash­ing­ton Post.
