Joshua Safran is an author, attor­ney, very occa­sion­al rab­bi and a nation­al­ly rec­og­nized advo­cate for sur­vivors of domes­tic vio­lence and the wrong­ly impris­oned, for which he was the sub­ject of the award-win­ning doc­u­men­tary film, Crime After Crime (Sun­dance, Oprah Win­frey Network).
