She lives in an old house in an old town in the uni­ver­sal­ly admired state of New Jer­sey, where she home­schools her daugh­ters and looks for mag­ic in mun­dane places. She once wrote a pop­u­lar blog and relat­ed essays that appeared in places like Salon, Slate, and Jezebel, and in mag­a­zines like Cos­mopoli­tan, Self, and Women’s Health.
