Mark Patinkin, long­time Prov­i­dence Jour­nal colum­nist, is a Pulitzer Prize final­ist in Inter­na­tion­al Report­ing. In addi­tion to, The Holy Land at War, Mark has writ­ten about African famine, the Lebanon civ­il war, reli­gious vio­lence in India, the first Intifa­da and the col­lapse of East Euro­pean com­mu­nism. Mark grew up in Chica­go, grad­u­at­ed from Mid­dle­bury Col­lege and lives in Providence.
