Mira Z. Amiras is an anthropologist, author, and award-winning filmmaker. She received her Ph.D. from UC, Berkeley and is professor emerita of Religion and Middle East Studies at SJSU. She is the author of Malkah’s Notebook: A Journey into the Mystical Aleph-Bet, the Tali children’s books, and more. Mira lives in San Francisco with her family.
