Rab­bi Philip Graubart is the author of Here There Is No Why, Plan­et of the Jews, Sil­wan, Rab­bis and Gang­sters, Women, and God, and sev­er­al oth­er nov­els and essay col­lec­tions. He has also pub­lished numer­ous essays and short sto­ries in Tikkun, Com­ment, The For­ward, Times of Israel, Jew​ish​Fic​tion​.net, Jew­ish Lit­er­ary Jour­nal, and oth­ers. He served con­gre­ga­tions in Mass­a­chu­setts and Cal­i­for­nia, and held senior posi­tions at the Nation­al Yid­dish Book Cen­ter, the Shalom Hart­man Insti­tute, and the San Diego Jew­ish Acad­e­my. He cur­rent­ly teach­es at the Acad­e­my for Jew­ish Reli­gion in Cal­i­for­nia. He lives in San Diego, CA, with his wife Rab­bi Susan Freeman.
