Krasikov won the Sami Rohr Prize for Jew­ish Lit­er­a­ture for her col­lec­tion ONE MORE YEAR, also named a final­ist for the PEN/​Hemingway and award­ed the Nation­al Book Foun­da­tion’s ​‘5 under 35’ prize. To research THE PATRI­OTS, she trav­eled to oil fields in Texas and KGB ware­hous­es in Moscow. She lives with her hus­band and chil­dren in Hast­ings, New York.
