Sara Levine is Chair of the Writ­ing Pro­gram at The School of the Art Insti­tute of Chica­go. She has a PhD in Eng­lish Lit­er­a­ture from Brown Uni­ver­si­ty and was the recip­i­ent of a five-year Andrew W. Mel­lon Fel­low­ship from the Woodrow Wil­son Foun­da­tion. She pub­lished a col­lec­tion of short sto­ries called Short Dark Ora­cles in 2011. Trea­sure Island!!! is her first novel.
