Steven Roth­feld earned degrees from UC Berke­ley and Art Cen­ter Col­lege of Design before begin­ning his adven­tures as a trav­el pho­tog­ra­ph­er with an empha­sis on the culi­nary world. He has trav­eled to over 40 coun­tries and has pho­tographed books by Michael Chiarel­lo, Frances Mayes, Mar­cel Marceau, Wolf­gang Puck, Joel Robu­chon, Nan­cy Sil­ver­ton, and Patri­cia Wells.
