Danna Horwood has spent her life standing at the intersection of past and future, inherited emotional wounds meeting the fierce hope of healing. As a granddaughter of Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives from nothing, Danna is a devoted mother committed to raising her children with strength and compassion. She has spent over two decades exploring how resilience is formed, nurtured, and passed across generations. My Dearest Children is a labor of love that she wrote with her whole heart as letters to her children, and only now feels ready to share. Encouraged by her father Tommy before his passing, she returns to these pages with a deeper sense of purpose: to offer her children, and all readers, a path toward courage, clarity, and connection in light of current events that has thrust the world into turbulent times. Blending her memoir with evidence-based concepts, Jewish spiritual wisdom, and intimate stories from five generations of her family, Danna shares both timeless and timely insights. Danna is the founder of Margaret’s Legacy, an organization dedicated to Holocaust and antisemitism education and has recently expanded to include themes surrounding multigenerational healing and resilience development
