Two Jews=Three Shuls takes place in a Conservative synagogue. The Rabbi is murdered and, on that level, the novel is a murder mystery. The protagonist is a Holocaust survivor, a female lawyer who is president of the synagogue. Consequently, women’s place in Judaism is integral to the plot. Mysticism and the Holocaust are also incorporated into the story. The book is endorsed by several Rabbis who are well known within the Movement.
