Bri­an Schaefer’s debut nov­el Town & Coun­try was pub­lished in 2025 by Simon & Schus­ter — and was ded­i­cat­ed to his par­ents! He has writ­ten reg­u­lar­ly for The New York Times and con­tributed to The New York­er, Peo­ple, and more. He lived in Israel as a Dorot Fel­low, worked for Haaretz, and earned a Mas­ters in Fic­tion from Bar Ilan University.
