Cooper left California for Israel in 1966& lived there eleven years. While studying at Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University Medical School, he performed as an actor & musician on stage and Israeli TV. After medical school, Cooper returned to the US and specialized in pediatric cardiology where he enjoyed a 40-year career. Cooper is a writer of historical fiction set in Israel and has published four prize-winning books.
