Crossroads of Empire begins where Wages of Empire ended — October 1914. With young Evan Sinclair having survived German artillery & poison gas, he barely survives the sinking of a hospital ship. Waking up in England with no memory of who he is, Evan struggles to regain his memory. With his journey woven into the story arcs of historical figures Chaim Weizmann, Achad Ha’am, Gertrude Bell, T.E. Lawrence & Prince Faisal, who all come to see that, though the main battlefields are in Europe, the true source of conflict is emerging in Ottoman Palestine since it’s from Jerusalem’s Temple Mount where Kaiser Wilhelm II dreams to rule over Arabian oil reserves and the Suez Canal. The early Zionists Weizmann and Achad Ha’am are also keenly aware of the mortal danger facing the 5 million Jews of the Russian Empire. Desperate for a way to provide them shelter, they struggle to devise a plan that might allow for their immigration to Ottoman Palestine while creating a positive relationship of coexistence with the Arabs of Palestine.
