Mitchell James Kaplan is the award-win­ning author of the nov­els By Fire, By Water and Into the Unbound­ed Night. A grad­u­ate of Yale, he has lived in Paris and Los Ange­les, and cur­rent­ly lives with his fam­i­ly in Roanoke, Virginia.
