Today, Shan­non Sar­na, the author of the new cook­bookMod­ern Jew­ish Bak­er: Chal­lah, Bab­ka, Bagels and More, shares some of her favorite food­ie books. 





Shan­non Sar­na is Edi­tor of the pop­u­lar Jew­ish food blog The Nosh­er and acon­tribut­ing writer to Kveller​.com, both part of 70 Faces Media. Born to anI­tal­ian moth­er who loved to bake, a Jew­ish father who loved to exper­i­ment, and afood chemist grand­fa­ther, lov­ing and exper­i­ment­ing with diverse foods is sim­plyin her blood. Her writ­ing and recipes have been fea­tured in Tablet Mag­a­zine, JTANews, New Jer­sey Month­ly Mag­a­zine, The Jew­ish Week, Joy of Kosher Mag­a­zine, Vine​pair​.com, Mod­ern Loss and Buz­zfeed. She grad­u­at­ed from Smith Col­lege inNorthamp­ton, MA with a degree in Com­par­a­tive Gov­ern­ment and Span­ish­Language and Lit­er­a­ture and lives in South Orange, NJ with her husband,daughters and res­cue dogs.
