Shoshana Nam­bi grew up in the Abayu­daya Jew­ish com­mu­ni­ty in the east­ern part of Ugan­da. She is the author of THE VERY BEST SUKKAH: A STO­RY FROM UGAN­DA. This book won the Nation­al Jew­ish Book Award and the Syd­ney Tay­lor Hon­or medal in 2022. Shoshana lives with her daugh­ter in Cal­i­for­nia where she is the assis­tant rab­bi at Con­gre­ga­tion Beth Am.
