The Jew­ish Wom­en’s Sto­ry­telling Col­lec­tive began in 2022 when Debra Gor­don Zaslow and five female grad­u­ates of her mag­gid train­ing pro­gram expressed frus­tra­tion with the lack of female pro­tag­o­nists in Jew­ish folklore.
