Alan Gratz is the author of many books for young read­ers, includ­ing Samu­rai Short­stop, Some­thing Rot­ten, The Brook­lyn Nine, and Pris­on­er B‑3087. His books have been named to numer­ous ​“best of the year” lists, includ­ing the ALA’s 2007 Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults. A native of Ten­nessee, Alan now lives with his fam­i­ly in West­ern North Carolina.
